Local Business Spotlight: Valley iRepair

Power of Local

We have all had the heart racing feeling of dropping your phone. The hesitation of flipping over the screen to see the damage, followed by the instant worry of how you’re going to fix another crack. Thankfully there are companies like Valley iRepair to help ease our worry.

Going Beyond Service With a Smile

If you’ve ever had the unfortunate experience of having your phone break, you’ve probably dealt with the unpleasant experience of taking it to be repaired. These experiences usually consist of dropping your phone off for a few hours, returning to a ludicrous bill and a halfway fixed phone. Valley iRepair doesn’t operate this way. In fact, their experience is the complete opposite.

“We do everything in front of the customer. We don’t take it behind a magic wall. We sit right across from you and talk about the weather. We really try to be more personal,” says Carey Shaffner of Valley iRepair.

Owned by Travis Powell and Jeff Maiden, Valley iRepair offers repairs to all Apple products. They service smaller repairs such as screen cracks, as well as more complex issues like a hardware malfunction.

No matter what service you are seeking, you can be sure Valley iRepair will remain completely transparent in the process.

“We take how connected we are to phone into consideration when we service our clients. We want them to be comfortable giving us their phone. That’s why we repair all devices in front of them. By the time they leave, they are laughing and leaving with a fixed phone,” says Carey.

Growing Local

HomeTown Bank has had the pleasure of working with Valley iRepair for five years. As a small local business themselves, it was important for Travis to work with a local bank.

“We wanted a bank to grow with us,” says Travis.

After banking with HomeTown for 5 years, that’s exactly what has happened. After originally opening in Roanoke, Valley iRepair has now has two additional locations in Blacksburg and Lynchburg.

The future looks bright for Valley iRepair, and HomeTown is looking forward to growing with them.
