HomeTown Bank to Ring the NASDAQ Bell on March 20

There are certain things that people and businesses do every day, but ringing the NASDAQ opening bell is not something people from our corner of the world do very often. Which is why we couldn’t be more excited about our upcoming trip to New York. The HomeTown Bankshares Board of Directors, as well as the HomeTown Bank Executive Team and myself, Hometown’s Marketing Director, are going to the NASDAQ studio in Times Square to ring the March 20, 2017 NASDAQ opening bell.

A Milestone for HomeTown Bank

While the bell is rung every morning and evening to signal the opening and closing of the market, this time many familiar faces from your HomeTown will get their chance to take part in this corporate ritual. HomeTown Bank’s President and CEO, Susan Still, will be the one to ring the bell and we will be there to celebrate. Many of our current board members are the very people who started our bank over 11 years ago. It’s quite remarkable to see how far we’ve come.

Celebrate With Us

We wish we could bring everyone who has contributed to our success with us, but the studio is limited to 40 people and we’d have a much longer list! Thanks to technology, you all can all take part as well, through the live feed available here. Tune in around 9:15 AM on Monday, March 20 to enjoy this special moment with us.

This event follows HomeTown Bankshares (HMTA) move to the NASDAQ stock exchange last fall. The move to NASDAQ comes with many added benefits to the bank and our shareholders and ringing the bell certainly is a fun way to celebrate the listing and mark the milestone.

Stay tuned and follow along on our journey by keeping an eye out for #HTBRingsTheBell on our social media feeds!
