Each year, American Banker Magazine compiles a list of banks around the country with outstanding company cultures in “The Best Banks to Work for”. HomeTown Bank is proud to be among a group of 60 banks that strive to better serve their customers through first serving their employees.
Every qualifying bank is evaluated by the Best Companies Group on their workplace policies, practices, and demographics. Further evaluation is conducted through employee surveys aimed at measuring morale and experiences within the company’s culture. Here are some of the areas that HomeTown Bank showed outstanding results:
Community Service Initiatives
HomeTown Bank conducted employee fundraisers throughout the year to contribute to the HomeTown Community Fund. This fund allows employees to direct contributions to local charities of their choice.
Bonus and Incentive Programs
HomeTown encourages employees to seek new ways to do better business and cut costs by giving a percentage of money saved back to the employee.
Communication Best Practices
Employees at HomeTown can utilize communication tools such as Cisco Jabber, an instant messaging tool, to help them communicate in a more timely fashion and make their jobs easier.
